Cambridge CELTA vs. other TESL qualifications

Many trainees ask the question “Why CELTA and not the course from A.N.Other, it has the same content doesn’t it?” To which we always advise trainees to be warned, as what is important to remember is that there a plethora of courses being advertised as replacement CELTA courses by private institutions all over the world, but these courses tend not to be recognised outside of the school where it is taken or outside the local area.  This Cambridge CELTA ran by ELEC is validated and assessed by Cambridge University themselves, and if Cambridge are not happy with the level of teacher training here they can and will take the course from us. Whereas, A.N.Other’s course is validated by themselves.
