The Cambridge CELTA is an initial course for applicants with little or no experience of teaching English to speakers
of other languages.
Applicants will be selected for the course only if they meet the following entry requirements.
be at least 18 years old, although it is preferable for candidates to be 20 and above
to be knowledgeable in English language and its grammar. Minimum requirements for non-native speakers is higher C1 on the Common European Framework e.g. Cambridge CAE grade A’
have the potential to complete written assignments to a high level
Candidates should normally have, as a minimum entry requirement, a standard of education equivalent to
that required for entry into higher education.
Due to the integration of theory and practice throughout the course, no exemptions or recognition of prior learning can be accepted.
Candidates should be aware that completion of a course does not guarantee that they will be

In the case of cancellation four weeks or more before the course starting date, 30% of the total fee will be retained. With less than four weeks’ notice, 50% of our total fee will be retained. If cancellation occurs in the final ten days before the starting date, the total fee will be retained.
However, in certain exceptional circumstances, including medical reasons, we will consider transferring the fees to a later course.
In the event of the course being cancelled, then all monies will be returned.
